Volvo Truck of North America knows the importance of recognizing those who have been the most successful within their sales force. Their Master Sales Leader program is one of the longest running incentive programs in the trucking industry. Director of sales Rob Simpson says each year, the top Master Sales Leaders are rewarded with a trip to great destinations. The 2010 conference was in Puerto Rico. He says the program has been a huge success within the company and out. “ Our sales staff has told us that their spouses are pushing them to sell more, so they can go on the trip.” Which in return drives more sales for the company.
Photo Book Design:
Rob Simpson of Volvo Truck has been the sole person responsible for creating and designing a photo book tracking the fun and adventure of those making the trip each year. Rob takes as many photos as possible during the vacation and sometimes others submit photos as well. (He suggests that you be sure to educate those taking photos as to what settings are required to produce photos that will be of print quality).
Each photo used in the booklet comes with a quote listed below it. The humorous quotes add to the excitement of the book. No one knows what photos will be in the book or what the quotes associated with the photo will be until they see the final printed booklet. Employees are always looking forward to this wonderful photo book full of memories. A DVD that includes all of the photos is also included for each participant.
For their next edition, Volvo may consider going to a perfect bound book to create more of a “coffee table” edition. The sales team in working towards qualifying for the next trip to Aruba! Good Luck!
