Education Photo Book Printing Case Study
The Sigma Pi Fraternity in Auburn, AL tweaked their marketing efforts to attract more pledges. Established in 1926, the Sigma Pi fraternity each year advertises to incoming men whom fit the criteria of the Sigma Pi brotherhood. Rush Chairman, Tyler Adkins says he chose to print the rush book for 2010 as more of a photo book, while still presenting the important facts and information for quick reference. In the past they’ve printed text booklets to promote the fraternity and it wasn’t being read. The additions of pictures of events, activities, and the life long friendship helped bring the Sigma Pi Fraternity alive. Drawing more students to rush the fraternity.
Photo Book Design:
The photos throughout the book focused on the activities on and off campus from football games, rock climbing, beach parties, and etc. This showed young men what their college experience could be like. Enticing them to rush the fraternity. To reinforce the pictures, text describing the brotherhood bond. “The fraternity provides a place where strong friendships are forged through common goals and activities; friendships that last a lifetime and extend beyond the campus walls.” Adkins says the photo book had a great response helping young men decide whether to pledge or not.
