The poster promotes a Seattle art festival.
The West Seattle Summer Fest now has a new way of generating interest among local residents and potential festival goers - poster printing. Jeff Gilbert, a local designer and co-owner of Feedback Lounge, was hired to create the poster, which shows a bird playing a guitar and details the various attractions of the event. The posters will be mounted locally at key areas as a way of both piquing interest and finding new acts for the festival, which takes place July 8 through July 10. "Being asked to design the poster for Summer Fest is the West Seattle equivalent of winning an Academy Award. I've been such a huge fan of the festival, every since I was a kid. More so now that I'm old enough to get in the beer garden. It's an absolute honor to be asked to contribute to the West Seattle community," said Gilbert. Small business owners using posters to promote their products and services should consider using female models - according to a study conducted by EYE, consumers are more likely to look at posters that depict the faces of women.
