Brochures can be effectively used by companies of any size to reach consumers and promote their products. The marketing website All Business recently explained why color brochures are so important to companies' promotional campaigns.
In today's digital world, anyone can set up a website and begin selling their merchandise or services. However, consumer skepticism of these companies is often high. All Business notes that brochure marketing adds an air of credibility to a company. "If you want people to know you mean business, you need a brochure," writes the site.
Whereas many broadcast messages, such as TV commercials and website ads, are designed to interrupt consumers' lives, brochures can be read in recipients own free time. This respect for consumers' attention can often result in a more favorable view of the sponsoring companies, which often translates into greater sales.
Major national brands, such as Legal Sea Foods and Zappos, use brochure marketing to compliment their other forms of promotional outreach, emphasizing how important print materials are to comprehensive advertising initiatives. "When print is used for its inherent strengths, it can significantly enhance the ROI of your sales and marketing strategies," said Zappos’ head of marketing, Cameron Brown, in a recent statement.
