When it comes to communicating with customers, the key is leveraging a plethora of promotional channels. Not everyone consumes information the same way, so by reaching consumers through a variety of channels, companies can maximize their reach. For example, BusinessInsider recently noted that Trader Joe's uses both print and radio to generate awareness. The company has a monthly "Fealess Flyer," which is a 20-page brochure that has deals and products suggestions and radio spots that are voiced by real employees who tell stories about the brand and its products. "[In the brochure] you'll find quotes, whimsical images, valuable information and even a Handy Flyer Shopping List that you can cut out and take with you when you shop to remind you of what to buy. It's also the kind of brochure that you hang onto rather than file away in the circular recycling bin," explains the source. The brochure can also be downloaded from Trader Joe's website, which emphasizes the importance of reaching consumers through both online and print mediums.
