Most towns are concerned primarily with themselves, but two Arizona cities have realized they can both prosper from improved tourism. The Explorer reports Marana and Oro Valley have teamed up to launch a new brochure printing effort to bring tourists to the area. The two towns will split the costs of the campaign, which is expected to run for $15,000. Brochures play a crucial part in this initiative - phase one is to develop a pamphlet that markets attractions, dining and lodging in both towns, complete with relevant maps and other materials. "We will tailor this brochure around tourism," Wright said. "The next step moving forward is to develop a theme or tagline for Marana and Oro Valley." Subsequent phases will reposition the towns as hubs for economic development. The overall goal is to improve both local tourism and the economic output of the region as a whole. In Massachusetts, the town of Grafton recently rolled out a similar brochure printing campaign. While this brochure was less focused on tourism, it aimed to encourage more entrepreneurs to move to the area because of the advantages Grafton offers to young businesses.
