United Way, a nonprofit organization that strives to create better communities throughout the United States, knows how to reach donors - the brand has traditionally leveraged a number of both traditional and emerging marketing channels to do so. Most recently, the company tapped graphic design firm KMK Media Group to help develop a new brochure printing campaign. The materials were designed specifically for the United Way of Rock River Valley and focused on several key issues face by the local community. "The brochure explains the organization's future goals and the strategic steps being taken to achieve them. It will be shared with local United Way contributors and partnering organizations," noted KMK Media Group in a statement. When it comes to reaching local residents, print marketing materials are especially effective. By leveraging the United States Postal Service's Saturation Mailing option, nonprofits can limit their direct mail initiatives to only nearby consumers, maximizing relevancy and minimizing unqualified leads. Moreover, this route tends to be more cost-effective as it creates more targeted initiatives.
