Real estate agents should use a multitude of promotional channels.

With the housing market still in the gutter, it's more important than ever before for real estate agents to step up their marketing efforts. RISMedia author Terri Murphy recently suggested the best way to do this was to leverage a number of different promotional mediums. Realtors should ideally be using a mix of both digital and print marketing materials - the key is linking them together. For example, if real estate agents use brochure printing, they could leverage quick response codes to drive customers to their website. "When printing brochures and information sheets, always include the electronic URLs so the prospect can opt to go to the web for additional information. List web portals such as the URL for the listing, a link to the virtual tour or the 800 call-capture information, just to name a few," Murphy explains. If real estate agents take this route, they need to remember to be consistent. Brochures and sell sheets should use the same colors, branding and imagery as their websites to ensure that customers aren't confused when they jump online.
