Napier Students Design New Postcard Printing Campaign to Boost Enrollment

The postcard initiative is designed to boost American enrollment.

Three students at Edinburgh Napier University, a Scottish college, have created a new postcard printing initiative designed to encourage more American students to enroll at the institution, The Drum reports.

The campaign was created by Ed Bell, Jenny Moran and Melissa Meikle and emphasizes some key aspects of Scottish culture. The postcards show off the creativity of students at the college's school of arts. A separate component of the campaign also includes a video that shows enrolled American students explaining why they chose to go to Napier University.

"This is a wonderful opportunity for the university to draw on the creative talent of our students, who are among the most employable in the UK," touts Napier principal and vice-chancellor Professor Dame Joan Stringer. The postcards will be distributed during the Tartan Week parade, which is attended by as many as 3,000 global travelers.

Many American colleges use postcards for both promotional and administrative purposes. For example, Bartsow Community College recently used postcards to remind students to sign up for classes.
