The Church in Wales is leveraging postcard printing to find new priests, Christian Today reports.
The organization is passing out postcards to congregation members, asking if they or anyone they know would be interested in filling the role at the Church in Wales. Interested recipients can respond using the postcard.
In addition to the postcards, the church as also launched a website that shows video clips of people talking about the value priests have added to their lives.
"Those ordained by the church have still [have] an important role to undertake, and we all need to work together to seek out vocations – especially among younger people," Gregory Cameron, Bishop of Saint Asaph, told the source. "There are so many distractions and other demands it is difficult to pay attention to what we are really being called to do or to question the path we’re on."
For organizations dealing with limited budgets, such as churches, postcard printing is an effective way of getting a message out without spending a lot of money. Other print materials, such as brochures and pamphlets, could be used similarly.
