With all the designs you have for different occasions and people, there\u2019s such a broad range. Everyone can find something special.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Matthew:<\/strong> Exactly! We offer products for all genders too, which is nice. Inclusiveness is important when thinking about connection. I think it\u2019s a message that needs to be heard more in today\u2019s world. Beyond print, what kind of challenges do you solve for people who buy your cards, posters, and books?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Ellen:<\/strong> I think the biggest problem we solve is finding the right words to say. Sometimes it\u2019s hard, even now. We have a story called <em>Listening<\/em>. It says, &#8220;I can\u2019t speak to what you\u2019re going through, but I want you to know I\u2019m listening.&#8221; Simple, but people struggle to say that sometimes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Zoe:<\/strong> I love that you\u2019re creating a bridge from feelings to communication. It feels so natural and genuine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Ellen:<\/strong> Yes, we try to create a shared experience. For example, people tell us how a story has been passed through generations in their family. It becomes a deeply personal narrative.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Matthew:<\/strong> One of my favorite moments was when a customer came in asking for &#8220;the story about fishing with my grandfather.&#8221; The story didn\u2019t mention fishing or a grandfather, but it resonated with them in that way.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Ellen:<\/strong> Exactly! People connect with stories in their own way. Like someone asking for &#8220;the story about an uncle,&#8221; even though we don\u2019t have a single story with the word &#8220;uncle&#8221; in it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Zoe:<\/strong> That\u2019s so fun! I bet it\u2019s exciting to meet people and hear how they interpret the stories.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Zoe:<\/strong> When you\u2019re faced with creative challenges, what\u2019s your approach to overcoming them?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Ellen:<\/strong> We don\u2019t write cards for events\u2014we write them for people. The stories are universal enough that they can apply to many situations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Matthew:<\/strong> We really focus on making each piece personal. The goal is for people to feel like they\u2019re saying what they want to say, but in a way that\u2019s meaningful and heartfelt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Zoe:<\/strong> What are the joys and challenges of working together as a family?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Gabriel:<\/strong> The challenge is that we\u2019re together so much, we sometimes forget how well we get along! But we know each other\u2019s strengths, and that makes our work stronger.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Ellen:<\/strong> Yes, and we\u2019re very particular about quality. We even have a bin of seconds\u2014if there\u2019s even a speck on a piece, it doesn\u2019t make the cut.
