Santa Claus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Santa Claus:<\/strong> Hi, Zoe. Thank you for having me.

Zoe Fisher: <\/strong>Of course. Welcome to Behind The Print! We have to know, how did you
prepare for this year’s big day?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Santa Claus: <\/strong>Oh, it\u2019s a year-round process\u2014a little bit every day. Hopefully, the elves do their part, Mrs. Claus packs a good lunch, and then I\u2019m off!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Zoe Fisher: <\/strong>You’re so busy. Your list must be incredibly long this year. How do
you stay so organized and on schedule?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Santa Claus:<\/strong> I have a whole staff you might not expect. There\u2019s a communications director, a human resources manager who hires all the elves, and even a naughty-and-nice analyst named Pepper Twinkletoes. He helps me decide who gets coal and who gets toys!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Zoe Fisher: <\/strong>That’s amazing. So, what does a day in the life of Santa look in
December?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Santa Claus: <\/strong>I spend much of my time preparing for family visits. Recently, I\u2019ve been traveling to families in New Jersey. Getting ready can be tricky\u2014my belt is tough to manage, and Mrs. Claus and I carefully select toys for each child while considering siblings’ expectations. Once the toys are chosen, I prep the reindeer, fill the bag, and I\u2019m off!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Zoe Fisher: <\/strong>No one else can do it but you Santa! I’ve heard recently you’ve become
an author. Can you share the story of how you became an author?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Santa Claus: <\/strong>When I visit children, I love telling stories. One favorite is The Night Before Christmas<\/em>, but it can get repetitive. Sometimes, I give Nutcrackers as gifts and read the story before handing out toys. However, since the original story is quite long, I decided to write my own shorter version, The Nutcracker as Told by Santa Claus<\/em>, to keep it fun and engaging for both kids and adults.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Some of these, , kids touch my heart in such an amazing way, and they give me the gift. I am supposed to be the giver of gifts. No. They give me the gifts.”<\/em> Santa<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Zoe Fisher:<\/strong> It must be a huge time saver when it comes to be December and your elves are
running around like crazy getting ready for Christmas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Santa Claus:<\/strong> It is. I would like to just real quickly show you the book. Goodness, that
is It’s an amazing, it’s an amazing little book. Really.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Zoe Fisher:<\/strong> That cover is just gorgeous. Oh my goodness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Santa Claus: <\/strong>Yes, it is! All the illustrations were created by one of my elves, Tasmina. She worked with my head elf, Jovi, to design the format and match the pictures to my text. It\u2019s so cool!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Zoe Fisher:<\/strong> So do you and the elves have any special tools or advanced technologies that
keep track of all these things for you?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Santa Claus:<\/strong> I prefer good old-fashioned tools\u2014pen and paper over modern technology. I try to stay away from computers, though one of the elves thought I might need help setting this up. Thankfully, I managed on my own! I\u2019m more of an old-school kind of guy, very hands-on. That\u2019s why I need so many elves\u2014they\u2019re a huge help! I don\u2019t print my lists or schedules because they change so often, they\u2019d be outdated in hours. Instead, I stick to parchment paper and a trusty pen to keep everything organized.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Zoe Fisher:<\/strong> Can’t beat it. You can’t beat it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"\"<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Santa Claus:<\/strong> You are right! Can’t beat it. But tell me more about this place that
you’re talking about because I think I have an inkling as to where it is and who does all the work
over there.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Zoe Fisher: <\/strong>Yeah, so we don’t have quite as many people or elves helping us as you do, but we
have a giant printing warehouse where we help people self publish their books.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Santa Claus:<\/strong> Well, my experience has been absolutely amazing. PrintingCenterUSA feels like a big operation, but the hands-on, individual service and assistance provided is exceptional. The team I\u2019ve worked with\u2014Addie, Kristen, and the others\u2014has been absolutely amazing. They\u2019ve been incredibly helpful and attentive, and they really produced a fantastic product.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Zoe Fisher: <\/strong>That is very true. Addie and Kristen and all of our help over
here are just amazing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Santa Claus:<\/strong> Yes. Yes. Jasmine, Lynn. They’re awesome.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Zoe Fisher: <\/strong>Santa, I got a big question. What’s your favorite cookie? And do you actually eat all
those cookies? <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Santa Claus: <\/strong>I actually do eat all those cookies. Um, and even though I eat all those cookies, I’ve heard that this year I’m kind of on the thin side. Someone mentioned I\u2019m looking a bit slimmer these days! Well, my favorite cookie has to be a classic chocolate chip. After that, I\u2019d go for a cinnamon-iced sugar cookie\u2014but honestly, nothing beats a good chocolate chip, even for Santa Claus!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Zoe Fisher:<\/strong> Both of those sound amazing, but I believe it. I believe you could eat all those
cookies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Santa Claus: <\/strong>Yes, I do! I actually have a milk and cookie specialist named Merry Biscotti\u2014M-E-R-R-Y, Biscotti. You can find her and the rest of my team on our website, Santa.com. There\u2019s a sweet story behind how I came to fully embrace being Santa Claus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I was walking with Mrs. Claus\u2014though she wasn\u2019t Mrs. Claus at the time\u2014and a little girl in a store, without me having a beard or anything, looked over and said, \u201cMommy, there\u2019s Santa.\u201d Both Mrs. Claus and I could read her lips. Then, the next year, a couple of boys at a 7-Eleven saw me and said, \u201cYou\u2019re Santa Claus,\u201d and even asked for an iPad! Later, Mrs. Claus told me, \u201cYou know what? You really are Santa Claus.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At that point, I couldn\u2019t deny it anymore. I embraced who I am, and now there\u2019s no hiding it! The stories and memories I\u2019ve made since then are so dear to me. These children touch my heart in incredible ways, and they give me<\/em> the greatest gift of all. It\u2019s really wonderful\u2014being Santa is a feeling like no other.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Zoe Fisher:<\/strong> So is there a holiday tradition you love that everyone should try this year? ,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Because they’re just amazing. Now, that’s an amazing company. They’re bigger, then they act. They act like a small company because of the care and the individual service they give but really behind the scenes that’s a pretty big company.” Santa<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Santa Claus:<\/strong> Yeah, I would definitely say so. Keep a Christmas tree up all year round\u2014that\u2019s my recommendation. And here\u2019s another tip: Christmas music. The right mix of Christmas music can be incredibly calming and help reduce stress. Try keeping it on in the background\u2014it\u2019s a universal tip that works wonders for everyone!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Zoe Fisher:<\/strong> Yeah, expert Santa Claus tip for Christmas. So, what is the reindeer’s favorite
snack after a long flight around the world?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Santa Claus:<\/strong> Well, it\u2019s funny you should ask because I have a couple right here. They\u2019re the most amazing treats! I keep them in a bag on my belt. Everyone thinks they\u2019re carrots, but they\u2019re actually spiced pine cones. They even smell like Christmas!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Zoe Fisher:<\/strong> You must only be able to get those at the North pole.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Santa Claus: <\/strong>You can only get those at the North Pole\u2014they\u2019re magical! They help the reindeer fly, too. Everyone thinks they\u2019re acorns, but nope, they\u2019re spiced pine cones. They keep the reindeer\u2019s energy up and ready to soar!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Zoe Fisher: <\/strong>So, if you had a day completely free to spend however you’d like, what would you
choose to do?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Santa Claus:<\/strong> If I had my own day, I think I\u2019d visit children back-to-back all day long. Right now, leading up to Christmas, I visit maybe two or three families on weekends, sometimes four. Even though the sleigh is fast, there\u2019s still about an hour between stops to get to the children and their parties.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On my perfect day, I\u2019d light a fire at home for Mrs. Claus to keep cozy, then head out to meet as many families as possible. And at the end of the day, I\u2019d come home to a big hug and kiss from Mrs. Claus. That would be perfect.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Zoe Fisher:<\/strong> That’s amazing. I bet all the kids would just love to see you year-round. Imagine if
Christmas was every day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Santa Claus: <\/strong>I\u2019m not so sure about that. I actually think Santa can overstay his welcome sometimes. During my visits, there comes a point where people start to lose interest. Part of that might be because of the amazing candy canes I give out\u2014by the end of the evening, everyone seems more focused on the candy canes than on Santa Claus!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Zoe Fisher:<\/strong> It’s important to keep your time short. So that you can have maximum impact.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Santa Claus:<\/strong> Short and maximum impact. The impact is really amazing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Santa Claus:<\/strong> It doesn\u2019t matter how old the child is\u2014they can even be 70 or older! I once met a 75-year-old attorney who\u2019s also a writer. She wasn\u2019t expecting to see me, but we ended up sitting together for an hour while I had dinner with some of the elves. She said, \u201cI\u2019m not a child, but I\u2019m confused because I\u2019m sitting next to Santa Claus,\u201d and she was just in awe. The stories I could tell about grown men falling into my arms crying because Santa Claus visited them\u2014it\u2019s truly heartwarming.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Zoe Fisher:<\/strong> It\u2019s truly heartwarming\u2014there are so many stories I could share. And it\u2019s been such an honor. Not many people get the chance to interview Santa Claus, so I want to thank you on behalf of everyone at PrintingCenterUSA.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Santa Claus: <\/strong>Well, when that group of girls asked me, I didn\u2019t hesitate. Anything I can do for them, I\u2019ll gladly do because they\u2019re simply amazing. Santa Claus:<\/strong> I would say, Just remember that the most important thing Home that our feet may
leave, but not our hearts. And if you can remember that, , your compass always points home,
like my compass points to the North Pole. And I bring that out so that I know in every visit,
where I’m heading when I leave, and it’s always home. So I would say, remember your family and remember the warmth and the love
you find at home. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
