FAQs

How to make a magazine?

To make a magazine, you can utilize our free downloadable magazine templates. We offer blank, predesigned layout, and mailing templates for the programs InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop. Or try our free online photo magazine maker!

How to publish a magazine?

You don’t need to have a big publishing company in order to publish your magazine. To publish a magazine, you just need to prepare your content and layout, pick out your order specifications on our pricing tool, then order and upload files! We will ship your magazines directly to you or we can even mail them directly to your customers.

When will I receive my magazine printing?

You will receive your magazine in 3 to 4 business days from your proof approval. If you need rush services, we offer overnight and expedited production time to meet your timeline.

What binding options do you offer for magazines?

We offer a variety of popular binding options including perfect bound, saddle stitched, wire-o, and spiral bound.

What is the best paper for magazine printing?

The best paper for magazine printing depends on your budget, preferences, and distribution method. We recommend an 80# cover paper for the cover and 80# text for the inside pages. However, if weight becomes a concern with mailing, 70# uncoated is also a very popular option!

Which software is used for making magazines?

We recommend using Adobe InDesign to design and layout your magazine for print. If you don't have the expertise or software to use InDesign, our online photo magazine maker is an easy-to-use alternative.

Can I choose the paper type for my magazines?

Yes, you can choose from a variety of paper types, including glossy and matte. Each type offers unique characteristics, allowing you to customize your magazine to your preference.

Templates

Using our blank templates is great because the files are already checked and have the proper format we need to print. Use our templates to help you double check your designs so that when you submit your order, your files are error free!

Bleeds

Bleed is an extra 1/8” of image that extends beyond the trim area of your printed piece. The project is printed on an oversized sheet that is cut down to size with the appearance that the image is “bleeding” off the edge of the paper.
