FAQs

How do I make a poster?

To make a poster, download our free blank poster folding and mailing templates for InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop. You can also upload your print-ready PDF into our pricing tool to check out.

What is the typical poster size?

The most common poster sizes you’ll see are 11x17 and 18x24. If the sizes above don’t fit your needs, sizes 12x18, 16x20, and 17x22 are also available to print through PrintingCenterUSA. The poster size that you choose depends on what you are showcasing, how many posters you need, your budget, and what your desired impact is going to be. For more information, and how to choose the perfect poster size for your project, see our blog postStandard Poster Sizes.

How do I flatten a poster?

If you have a rolled poster, you should roll your poster out onto a flat surface, like a table. Then, place some heavy books (like dictionaries) on the four corners and center of your poster. Leave your poster on the table for at least 24 hours to have a flat poster.

Do you offer poster design services?

PrintingCenterUSA does not offer design services. However, we have organized a team of professional graphic designers to help our customers with their design needs.Click here to Find a Designer!

Resolution

PrintingCenterUSA recommends that the resolution of your images and document be 300 dpi or more.

Bleeds

Bleed is an extra 1/8” of image that extends beyond the trim area of your printed piece. The project is printed on an oversized sheet that is cut down to size with the appearance that the image is “bleeding” off the edge of the paper.
