Paper Options
80# Cover Cardstock (8pt) is the preferred cardstock for brochures. Its thickness is similar to a postcard and it is twice as thick as 80# text. This cover paper is lightweight but sturdy giving a sophisticated look to any brochure while still being affordable. This stock brings dimensional security, durability, and has excellent folding stability. If you need scoring or die-cutting this cardstock is useful.
100# Cover Cardstock (9pt) has about 25% more bulk than the 80# cover cardstock but has similar characteristics. It is similar to medium weight cardstock making it bit thicker and heavier. This is premium paper at the highest quality.
100# Text (5pt)is thicker and heavier than 80# text. It has a high durability giving it a sharpened look and feel.
NOTE: We recommend 100# Text over 80# Text
80# Text (4pt) is not as expensive but has little opacity (text and images may show through on double sided brochures) making some brochures harder to read. It is about 25% thinner than 100# Text.
NOTE: We only recommend this paper if weight becomes an issue for mailing purposes
Gloss vs. Matte
Gloss paper gives a shiny finish to any brochure making photographs look opulent and appealing. It is exceptional at grabbing attention with an eye-catching sheen especially when used in conjunction with full color printing.
Matte paper has a low gloss finish that is glare free making it great for brochures that have a high amount of copy. This paper has high quality color reproduction and is preferable to uncoated papers.
Uncoated paper is similar to normal copy paper but is a higher grade. This paper gives sharp and high picture and is easy to write on.
NOTE: We would recommend this for a brochure only if the project needs to be written on - for exmaple: forms, customer information, etc..
