How to Create a Booklet That Makes an Impact
At PrintingCenterUSA, we love seeing print bring energy, purpose, and personality to events that make a real difference. For the GFWC Bridgeport Junior Woman’s Club, this year’s Be the Change Ball booklet did exactly that.
More than just an event program, this vibrant 80s-themed booklet helped set the tone for an unforgettable evening, one that raises over $100,000 annually to support children across North Central West Virginia.
Whether you’re planning a fundraiser, gala, corporate event, or community celebration, a professionally printed booklet can elevate your event from ordinary to unforgettable.
Start with your mission.
Let your cause guide the design, tone, and storytelling throughout the booklet.
Design around your theme.
Color, typography, and imagery should immerse guests in the experience from cover to back page.
Highlight sponsors clearly.
Organized layouts and full-color printing ensure sponsors feel valued and visible.
Choose quality materials.
Professional printing enhances credibility and ensures your booklet feels polished and intentional.
Use professional file review tools.
Double-check bleed, resolution, and layout to ensure flawless printing results.
When thoughtfully designed, a booklet becomes more than a program, it becomes part of the memory.

About the Be the Change Ball
Hosted in Bridgeport, the Be the Change Ball is an annual themed fundraiser benefiting local children’s nonprofits. Each year, the Club selects a different organization to support, strengthening services for some of the region’s most vulnerable youth.
This year, the event proudly supported Hero’s Haven Child Advocacy Center, an organization dedicated to providing advocacy and support for children and families in crisis.
A fresh theme is unveiled each year to keep the experience exciting and immersive. For 2026, guests stepped back in time with a bold, colorful 80s theme, complete with high-energy design, nostalgic details, and a booklet to match.
The Challenge
The Marketing and Event Planning team needed a booklet that would:
- Reflect the vibrant 80s theme
- Highlight sponsors and supporters
- Share the mission and impact of the evening
- Serve as both a functional program and a keepsake
The booklet had to balance fun and professionalism, capturing the playful tone of the event while honoring the meaningful cause behind it.
Because the Be the Change Ball is a signature annual fundraiser, presentation matters. Guests look forward to the creativity each year, and the printed materials play a major role in building anticipation and delivering a polished experience.
The Printing Solution
To bring their vision to life, the team partnered with PrintingCenterUSA to produce a full-color custom booklet designed for maximum visual impact.

Specs:
Size 5.5 x 8.5 (5.5 x 8.5 Inch)

The bold color printing ensured neon accents and retro graphics popped off the page, reinforcing the 80s theme from the moment guests opened their program. Crisp text and vibrant imagery helped highlight sponsors, event details, and the mission behind the night.
The result was a cohesive printed piece that elevated the entire event atmosphere.
The Impact
The Be the Change Ball raises more than $100,000 annually, funds that directly support nonprofit organizations serving children across North Central West Virginia.
But beyond the financial impact, the booklet helped:
- Build excitement and immersion for guests
- Recognize sponsors in a professional, tangible format
- Reinforce the mission of Hero’s Haven Child Advocacy Center
- Create a keepsake that attendees could take home
Print played a central role in tying the entire experience together, turning a themed idea into a fully realized event environment.
As the team shared:
“We love keeping the experience fresh by unveiling a new creative theme every year to keep guests excited and coming back.”
The 80s booklet did exactly that, energizing the room while keeping the heart of the event front and center.
Why Event Booklets Still Matter
In an increasingly digital world, printed event materials create something screens cannot: a tactile, immersive experience.
A well-designed booklet can:
- Guide guests through the evening
- Showcase sponsors with clarity and credibility
- Reinforce branding and theme
- Serve as a lasting reminder of the cause
For fundraisers especially, print helps communicate transparency, professionalism, and purpose, all of which inspire generosity.

The Be the Change Ball continues to grow each year, fueled by creativity, community support, and a deep commitment to helping children thrive.
