About Dr Mehrdad Shojaei
Mehrdad is both a physician and a self taught wildlife photographer. After long days caring for patients at his local hospital, he finds peace behind the camera. He photographs wildlife using Nikon D800, D500 and Z9 cameras paired with an AF S 600 millimeter F4 G lens, spending countless hours outdoors capturing the quiet beauty of the natural world.
But for him, photography is more than a creative break. It is a way to give back.

His passion for combining art and healing began in 2013. While sitting in a coffee shop, he noticed a fundraising flyer for a young patient who needed a lung transplant. The story moved him deeply. He attended the event and donated two of his photographs to help raise money. That experience changed how he saw his art. It showed him that images can heal in their own way.
Since then, he has continued donating his work to support patients and community fundraisers. He believes in the healing power of compassion and uses his photography to raise awareness for causes close to his heart.
