Wedding Photo Books: Learn About the Different Styles

There are a variety of wedding booklets available. Some are created as “save the date” notifications, others are the actual wedding programs. Some wedding booklets are simply created to commemorate the event.

1. Save-The-Date

Most save the dates are single page programs or simple postcard invitations. Shaquana Williams is getting married and she wanted a way to share her love story with her family and friends. After looking online and rejecting traditional notifications like postcards and magnets, Shaq decided to print a save the date magazine instead.

Why It Works:

  • Unique
  • Fun
  • Memorable
  • Keepsake

2. Wedding Program

Provide your guests with a wedding program that is colorful and fun. This will give them entertainment while they wait for the wedding to start, give them the opportunity to “get the inside scoop” and will be a memento of the wedding itself.

Candice used the back cover of her wedding program to commemorate their loved ones who had passed away before the ceremony. They wanted to remember and include them and this gave her the opportunity to do so without making the day feeling somber.

She also included a thank you for the people who had helped her most which included her parents, her pastor and the wedding vendors.

Wedding Program Design Tips:

  • Use full page photos
  • Use the wedding theme colors
  • Keep the font style consistent
  • Make it personal

3. Magazine-Style Photobook

A magazine-style photo book printed after the event is the perfect way to commemorate the wedding. By including pictures of the engagement, the wedding and the honeymoon you can capture the “full experience” and enjoy it for years to come.

Include Pictures From:

  • Important dates that the couple went on
  • The engagement
  • The proposal
  • The wedding preparations
  • The wedding ceremony
  • The wedding reception
  • The honeymoon
