How to Set Up Your Calendar for Print

Bleed. Your design needs to extend 0.125″ beyond the trim edge on all sides. That extra border gets cut off after printing. Anything you want to keep, text, logos, important design elements, needs to stay inside the safe zone, which is 0.125″ inside the trim edge on all sides.
Resolution. Images need to be at least 300 DPI at the size they’ll print. A photo that looks sharp on a screen can print soft or blurry at anything lower. This matters most for wall calendars since the image fills half the page.
Color mode. Save your file in CMYK, not RGB. RGB is built for screens and the colors will shift when they hit print. CMYK is built for print and gives you the most accurate color reproduction.
